Merry Christmas for New Years

What a surprise we found when we arrived at the cabin! Nicole (the gal who helps us with the remodeling and decorating) had left a darling gift basket for Christmas for us. So we got to enjoy it for New Years. She filled it full of Christmas Traditions that her family enjoys so we could enjoy them too. I think we found a few new things we just might incorporate!

Here are the girls building a Gingerbread House. Do you know that I have never done this with my kids? They had so much fun doing it.
Here is the finished product from the front. Not bad for a first time!
And here is a view from one of the sides. I have to say: Mike and Adrianne made one this year on Christmas Day, and it sure looked like a lot of fun. We'll definitely have to repeat this. Hmmm....anyone in the family up for a contest next year?

(We also had some heavenly brownies, Merry Christmas Bingo--so darling--, and the Elf onThe Shelf book and elf. We had never heard of that before either. Quite liked it all! THANKS NICOLE!)
