Mike came over late this morning and helped Duff move some boxes of wedding vases and supplies to the storage unit. It's nice to get all those things out of our garages finally. And then we began the food storage inventory. Duff thought it would be an easy, quick task. It didn't turn out that way. It's going to take several days, I think. We are cleaning things out and rearranging and reorganizing and consolidating and taking inventory as we go. When we are done it will be much better. We should have the 'equipment' stuff all together and all the food stuff together and all the canning supplies together. Right now it's all kind of mish-moshed.
We made a lot of progress. Our bodies are a little stiff from all the bending and carrying. We will dive in again tomorrow and get another part done. With the cannery changing the expiration dates on certain items, we are going to open one can of everything and test it just to be sure. I started a section of things we need to add or add to. I gave Mike his 72 hour kit. Now they just have to get one for Adrianne. I'll post pictures when we are done.
Christine had her 'study molds' done today to get ready for her braces. In my day they called them 'impressions'. I just don't do well with having all that thick paste in my mouth. They had me come back with her for them. I was sitting in the chair at the foot of her orthodontic lounge and when the assistant brought it over and put it in her mouth I could smell it and hear it squish and I had to get out of there fast. I didn't want her to take any cues from me, so I walked down the hall and ended up talking to my dentist and one of his assistants. Then went back in and she was all done with both sets and waiting for me to make her next two appointments. She is her father's daughter when it comes to dental work. Absolutely no problem! I'm so glad she got that from him! A week from tomorrow the braces go on. Here we go!
I had a really hard time getting to sleep last night. I finally got up and read a book for a while. I headed back to bed around 2am and then got up at 7. I'm really tired tonight. So I'm off to bed.

Oh I hate taking impressions too. Just thinking about it gives me the willies. When I had to take mine all I could do is sing primary songs in my head to take my mind off it.

So glad the impressions are over with. That is so yukie. I remember you gagging when you had your's done.
And don't you just love those sleepless nights. That's when I get up and make myself a cup of hot milk, get the peanut butter and honey out, dip my knife in the PB and then in the honey a few times, drink my milk, get sleepy and go back to bed. It seems to work. So I'll keep doing it.
