Holy Mackeral--We're Finally Home!

I didn't even get a post in yesterday and today we drove all day. But we are back home safely in California and tired from the drive.

"Good-bye Midway!" This was pretty much the scene as we left, even though I took this picture on Saturday. Sunday, we got another 12 " of snow on top of this! But this is the view looking back as we leave.

We waited until late morning so the plow could get up and clean the road up as best he could, and we could spiff up with last minute cleaning. This was quite a 'doozy' of a storm--we had tons of snow from Midway all the way to Hurricane and a little bit to St. George! That usually never happens! But the roads cooperated and the drive went smoothly. Christine, Darla, and I drove in the Denali, and Duff and Josh drove in the Honda. We were just as packed up for the drive home as the drive up because we were bringing all Adrianne's boxes back with us from when she lived in Utah. So both cars were FULL!

It is always good to get away, but always good to get home too! I LOVE the snow, but I have to admit--it was wonderful to see the sun and green trees and grass!
