We had a little break in the rain and decided to see if they would let us back on to our street so we could check things out and grab some clothes and toiletries. They really didn't want to and told us if we went we were on our own. We went anyway.
So far, our house is okay. You can see where the mud, water, and debris came up into our driveway, but didn't make it to the house.
Others were not so lucky. So far, 4-5 homes are red-tagged and may be a complete loss.
This is water and thick mud. These cars were picked up and carried down the street and stopped here.
