Chompies

Chompies is a 'must do' when you go to the Phoenix area. It's where 'the locals eat', so you know it's good! It was one of the things that Mike really wanted to do on their vacation.
So we headed on over for brunch on Monday. I drove with mom and dad in the backseat and promptly got car sick. So while we were waiting to get in, I walked and walked around the parking lot. I've always had trouble with motion sickness. Half of my kids get it too. Sorry! Dramamine is a good friend of mine.
Mike and Josh. This deli is amazing. You can get every combo of every thing you can conceive. I haven't had one bad thing here ever. I am partial to the French Dip and the Hot Pastrami, though. And Lisa likes the Brisket. But their breakfasts are pretty darn impressive too.
Josh and Meredith. Chompies is like being in New York or downtown LA. She got breakfast and he got lunch. He got French Dip and Mike got Hot pastrami and they shared 1/2 of each.
Mike and Adrianne. He had reached his picture limit! She got breakfast and he got lunch!
Auntie and Grandma.
Grandpa and Uncle Craig. Grandpa put the paper napkin ring on his nose. Oh, silly him. The 'Ward' sense of humor is a good one.
I had to get a picture of this jam caddy. This brought back a rushing memory of my Mamo Minnie. Whenever they would travel, she would fill her purse with all the Smucker's jam packets and bring them home for us kids! I can see the inside of her purse perfectly with all the jam packet colors against the black fabric.
...and what would a good old deli sandwich be without a true kosher dill pickle! We went through 4 trays of these! Ummmm, divine! It's the German coming out in us.....
