Monday Memos

Check out the time. I got it in just under the wire...

Do you sing? That seems to be the question I keep asking people lately. I was asked to put together a musical number for the women's conference coming up on Sunday. This is sooooo out of my element. I enjoy music. I sang in the Concert Choir in high school. I have an okay voice. I can lead basic music, and I can play very basic piano. But a musical number????? Puh-leeze!

It has truly been a stress to me over the last couple of weeks. I've never done this before and it gets kind of paralyzing after a fashion. Finally after a bunch of avenues came to dead ends, I decided on the women's arrangement of The Lord is My Shepherd in the hymn book, #316. The text goes along with the theme. I've gathered women for a triple trio (?)--3 for each part. On the advice of a friend who is musical, we are only having 2 practices, one tomorrow and one Sunday morning. I hope it's enough. Can you tell I'm still anxious about it?

  • House cleaned

  • Pots watered

  • Laundry DONE!

  • FHE

  • Dinner (scrambled eggs, potato pancakes from the left over mashed potatoes, and cantalope and watermelon. Good.)

  • Dancing With The Stars [1/2 way through the season. I'm rooting for Kristi Yamaguchi (with Mark) and Jason Taylor (with Edyta)]. I totally know how much work it takes from when I danced. All of the couples are amazing actually.
