Duff, Shaun, and Christine headed out this morning for Las Vegas and the Bowl game with BYU and UCLA. Josh and Meredith left with Mere's dad for Vegas too. Mike had to work. Natalie and I got the holiday grocery shopping done first thing. Hardly anyone was at the store when we started, but when we left the lines to check out were 3-4 deep. Glad we finished that early in the day!
Came home and cleaned the refrigerator and pantry and got everything put away. Natalie started some of the baking and I wrapped. Gosh it feels good to do that now. I am really motivated to get as much of that done as I can before Christmas Eve, so I won't be up late.
At 4pm, Mike got the car washed for me and Natalie and I went to get a holiday pedicure. It felt so nice to be pampered and relax for an hour. Home just in time to get the TV on and get pumped up for the bowl game. Another nail-biter clear until the last 3 seconds! Please! My heart can't take it! I love the DVR: we rewound that blocked field goal several times to watch it in slow motion. GO COUGARS! We look forward to next season!
I'm going to wrap for another hour and then go to bed. I'm looking forward to the Christmas program at church tomorrow. The choir always does a nice job and I feel like it's a time where I can reflect without interruptions. Only 2 more Sundays of 9am church. I think the 11-2pm schedule is my favorite, and that's what we go to in 2008. You can get the beds made, the breakfast dishes done so when you come home it's nice.
Duff and the kids come home tomorrow afternoon. And everyone has Monday off!
