Answer: I have a lot of 'favorite' books. One of them besides the Book of Mormon, is The Hiding Place, by Corrie Ten Boom. The lessons in this book are for a lifetime.
I will never forget when I read it for the first time. It was in the 1980's and I was sick and a friend brought it by for me to read while I was getting better. I couldn't put it down. I read and read until it was done.
It is a true story about Love and Hate. Family. War. Wrong and right. Gratitude. Happiness. Despair. And in the end Forgiveness. Quite moving. "Corrie and Betsie ten Boom are middle-aged sisters working in their father's watchmaker shop in pre-WWII Holland. Their uneventful lives are disrupted with the coming of the Nazis. Suspected of hiding Jews & caught breaking rationing rules, they are sent to a concentration camp, where their Christian faith keeps them from despair and bitterness.
