It has been dang hot today! 100* on our thermometer. The a/c is going. Tomorrow is supposed to be a lot like today and then they say it will start to cool down next week. I'm loving spring, but am NOT ready for summer yet!
Crazy day. Busy, busy. I was asked to speak on the Gift of the Holy Ghost this afternoon at a baptism. It was a beautiful baptism. They sure make you think back on your own. The details, how you felt. I walked in, and the very first thing that was said to me after 'hi' was could I play the piano. The pianist was late. I'm happy to do that, but I am NOT an accompianist. Those are two completely different things. So I plunked out prelude music for about 20 minutes. Thankfully, the pianist got there as they were starting the baptism. This happened last fall as well to me. Talk about heart palpitations!!! Maybe I should just start practicing more....
I got home, changed into some comfy clothes and wished I could take a nap...but got some leftovers warmed up for dinner and then headed for the grocery store. Got the marketing done for the week and put away. They had some good specials that I picked up some extra for for the food storage.
Then at 8pm I got the bug to make a Joanne's run to get some more crochet thread and yarn. I've been taking a bag with me in the car lately when I have to run Christine around and it's surprising what I can get done in small increments of time working on the tropical bandages for the Humanitarian Center. I'm almost done with my last spool of crochet thread and needed some more. I've been doing this for several years, but have stepped it up a notch in recent weeks. My mom has been inspiring me to knit hats on the round looms lately too. She has been going crazy doing them. I think she has done over 100 now. I like crocheting. I learned when I was a Merrihand in primary many, many moons ago. Interesting how over time that has stayed with me.
On my way home I picked up Christine from a friend's where a bunch of them got together and had dinner and went swimming.
The house is quiet and I'm enjoying the stillness.

I'm packing up and sending you the 'four-foot-drift' we still have in the backyard - hope it'll help! ! ! !
Glad to take it! Way to hot for me this early!
