Finishing Up FINALLY

This is just crazy! I can't believe it's been almost a week since I've blogged. Totally not like me at all! Christine has had the busiest schedule and I've been trying to tie up all kinds of loose ends before the kids come home for the summer (in one week now) and my life will completely change for 4 months! Things like ordering a larger trash can for the summer from the garbage pickup company, get the ceiling fan repaired in the guest bedroom, have a new bathroom fan installed in another bathroom, etc.

It hit me about 2 weeks ago. I had a brilliant 'idea' for something I wanted to do. It could even be for a Christmas gift! I started looking through my 'crafting' supplies which are in various places in the house and garages. It slapped me in the face like a brick wall: no more new things until I finish all my unfinished projects. And I have a ton of them. You know--those 'things' you get started and then something comes up and you think: oh, I'll just put this aside for a day or so, and months, even years later they are not done. So that is what I've been doing in my spare time in and around Christine's crazy busy life right now. For instance: I started a beautiful counted cross stitch piece for my brother-in-law for his police work. It's still sitting in the bag. I just need to frame it! Christmas gift, yeah!

I did this several years ago too. I am still using most of the things I finally finished. Halloween placemats (which turned out darling and are timeless), a ceramic tea set for one of the girls, a quilt for a bed..... Why, oh why, do I let these things pile up?

So I'm very excited to be getting these things D-O-N-E. I'm trying to decide what I can take pictures of and what I can mention on the blog because I'm definitely going to be using some for Christmas gifts. Double blessing in this venture! It is filling my weak creative side to see these projects finally being realized. I am methodical and more of a kitchen gal. I really have to think out crafts and sewing. I'm a copier and follow someone elses lead when it comes to that. Unlike my mom, Lisa, Sue, Kristin, Jennifer, Gwen who can visualize it already in their mind and create it on spot.

Good news is: I've finally finished dubbing vhs to dvd. There were 4-0! Now I just have to load the computer program (scary for me) and print out dvd labels to put on them. These kind of 'new things' give me a bit of anxiety, but I just keep telling myself that I'm learning new things and there's something to be said for that!

Sounds like a lot things to do. But I know you, you will get them done! Howver you have had alot going in the past 2yrs. So give yourself alittle slack. Love you.

Cross me off that list. I'm a copier too! Isn't it easier that way? Sounds like a full house again this summer.
