I have felt rejuvenated by conference. I think I soaked up each message. Sometimes there are a few that just don't grab me--I think that happens to everyone--but I truly loved each one. I kind of don't want today to come just because I want to keep that feeling from the weekend. I want to stay in that bubble. Now the trick is to keep that motivation in everyday circumstances and transfer all my ponderings into actions. Well, maybe I'll just start with a few and hope to be successful.
The choir was especially good. I'm sure they are every time, but today above and beyond. Probably the angels singing with them since it was Easter. We all really enjoyed the special about their 2009 summer tour. My friend Wayne was interviewed during it. Wayne and I went to the same high school while we were youth and he was not a member at that time. Such a good guy and searching for the truth. He joined and never looked back. He is married to a beautiful woman and has a great family. And now he sings in the choir. Every conference I'm glued to the tv to find him while the choir sings. My family, who has never met him, can pick him out now and will say, "Mom, there is your friend, Wayne!" I guess in my small way it thrills me to see him all grown up and valiant in the gospel all these years later.
It was gorgeously sunny and bright yesterday, and today we have gotten up to rain that started during the night. At least it's not snow. Robert sent us pictures yesterday followed by a phone call wishing us a happy Easter and they got 3 inches when they woke up!
Ah. Fickle Spring!
