Today is my dad's 77th birthday! He looks pretty darn good for 77. Both he and my mom have good, youthful looking genes. I sure hope I got those! His favorite cake is a pound cake!My dad is a great guy. He has a big heart for others. He is a true handyman. He can fix or build just about anything. He is a fantastic gardener. He has a green thumb for plants and gardens, and can make just about anything grow. I remember when I was a little girl and he dabbled in landscaping on the side for extra money. We would love to go and drive by the new yards he would design and install.
He is very creative. He can draw or paint. He used to paint signs on the grocery store windows! He gets this from his mom's side of the family--the Wards. They are all musical, artistic, in some kind of way. My dad loves photography. You can find him taking pictures at every family event. Snap, snap, snap!
Dad loves the gospel and his family. When all is said and done, those are the two things that motivate his every thought and decision. He has instilled that in all of us.
