Last night we had our quarterly enrichment night. It was so much fun! We have good leaders in our ward over this. We had some 'crafts', which were more like home decorations for the holidays, and a great display and class on gifts for neighbors, friends, teachers, etc. and how to 'present' them. I learned a lot. Everyone worked hard and I think we all got our projects done. Some didn't sign up for anything but brought something of their own to do like knitting or crocheting. We all got caught up on our visiting!
Christine and Amanda worked with Madison to watch the children in the nursery. It is good for them to give service. Lots of holiday cookies for treats.
Today, Duff and I divided up the errands. We got them done quick! Most importantly for me was that I got all the 'stuff' for the Thanksgiving craft that we do each year. I'm in charge this year. I've known what I wanted to do for some time now, but putting it all together is a different story! We are making christmas banners to go across a doorway or a mirror, etc. I'll be sure to take pictures when we make them! Such a relief that is done!!!
Tonight Christine is at YW. I made some very yummy pork ribs for dinner and called Mike and Adrianne over to help us eat them. Adrianne and I worked together to get the kitchen cleaned up and then we all sat down to visit and had a tv program on. I think it was a game. The phone rang, and it was Lisa. She had just hung up with her boss who called to let her know that he was letting her and another gal 'go'! The nerve to do that on the phone! He has been difficult to work with from the gitgo, but Lisa is tough and a great administrator. He expected her to know everything his previous assistant knew in two months when the other gal had worked for him for 20 years! So now we are hoping they can jump in the car and come for Thanksgiving! We are crossing our fingers..........
We LOVE YOU AUNTIE!
