HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL!
We had a rather subdued ringing in of the New Year last night. After our long day of driving we all had a hard time staying awake. Meredith was the first one to conk out on the couch. She was so sound asleep, Josh had a hard time at 10pm being able to rouse her to go down to climb into bed.
Christine actually told us she was going to fall asleep and to please wake her up at 11:30pm! Natalie did the same. Duff and Josh were the die-hards. A football game at 11pm will keep you awake, I think! I struggled mightily and fnally got up and walked around for the last 15 minutes, went out on the deck in -6* and was shocked wide awake with the cold. We cracked open the Martinelli's, kissed, and toasted as we counted down the last 10 seconds of 2007.
Today we will have a full day as we are getting ready to host a 50th birthday party for Bob Evans tonight. I'll report back later.
HAPPY NEW YEAR--2008!
(Today would have been Duff's dad's 77th birthday. He died 3 days after his 50th bday in 1981 in a car accident at Soldier Summit, Utah. They rushed him to Payson hospital where he died after surgery. Happy Birthday, Dad Duffy!)
