Oh yes they did! The Y beat San Diego for their first loss as #4 in the country. It was a good game--back and forth with us down by 1 at the half. But in the end we pulled away led by Jimmer and Davies. Coach Rose methodically planned out the game and the players executed their roles just as they should. Thank goodness for tv: the next best thing to being there! And you get all the commentary and close ups.
We got our dinner from Rubios for the ward youth fundraiser. It sure beats bake sales, car washes, and carameled popcorn sales. Take your flyer to the restaurant and they give the program a percentage back from your order. We all have to eat dinner, right? Plus, no kitchen cleanup. It's nice to have a break from that on occasion. We should have called it a ward activity because when I was picking up our take out, most of the restaurant was filled with our ward having their dinner. I brought 2 extra flyers and gave one to a customer inside and then as Adrianne and I were leaving I gave the 2nd to a man going in to get his dinner and asked him if he would support our group and use this flyer. He said sure. Score.
