Snug as a Bug

Well, guess what I'm looking at? Yep, you got it! SNOW on the mountains! It got sooo cold last night, wind and rain never stopped on the back side of the Wasatch. Watched the Talkin'Sports show, read some more Twilight, said my prayers, and climbed into bed. You know that 'snug as a bug' feeling when you climb in and get all warm under the covers and slip into dream land with the rythm of the rain as your lullaby. Oh, love it.

Woke up this morning and it was so 'gray', so I hopped up and quickly opened the blinds to see lots of clouds and the gorgeous snow. It looks like someone sprinkled a big serving of powdered sugar on the mountains. The pine trees outside have ice all over them--so pretty!

When I came last week, I arrived in shorts, tshirt, and sandals. I guess I'll be leaving in long pants, tennis shoes, and a jacket!

Gotta go finish cleaning the kitchen, and get the vacuuming done so we can close this place down. I think we are finally getting a good system in place for opening/closing the cabin. Of course it is nice to have the kids just down in Provo again. They can be here in a jiffy if we need them to. I'm putting a check in/out list together with boxes to check off when I get home. That will help to not forget to do certain things, like take the trash out of the garage down to the dumpster! Ooo, what a lovely smell when I arrived!

Duff held down things at home wonderfully. He is amazing. Always encourages me and gives me 'wings to fly'. He even made stuffed flank steak for 'Sunday Dinner' yesterday, Christine's request. No soccer game--it actually rained enough to close the fields! He said Darla is doing her moping around the house thing, sitting at the top of the stairs and staring out the window
waiting for me to come home. She is so funny when she does that! It doesn't matter if I've gone to run a quick errand or am on a trip. So cute. How did Heavenly Father KNOW we would need pets? I think about that often. So grateful for His wisdom!

California, here I come. Right back where I started from!
