Every Year our ward does a "Trunk or Treat". We have a dinner and carnival inside in the cultural hall, and then the kids can trick or treat for candy from the trunks/backs of the cars.We almost cancelled this year because of the fires going on, but the Activities Committee decided to hold it anyway to keep things consistent for the kids. The weather cooperated and we even had a little drizzle which took away the smoke temporarily. I just had to snap this picture. (I was so glad I had my camera in the car!) When I pulled the car into the parking lot the kids came running over to me and wanted me to see their costumes and ooh and ahh over them. They were so excited! This is just the ones in the parking lot. Gosh, I love them!
This is little Russ Arrington. He has a twin brother, Ben. Their mom has diabetes and they were born VERY early. It is a miracle they are with us today. I've mentioned him in an earlier post, but he has some autism. Their parents have done such a good job of mainstreaming them. When he sees me at Primary he has to always come and hold my face and kiss me.
Tonight he kept telling his mom, "I just know Sister Duffy is here. Help me find her. I don't see her. But I know she's here." So they came to find me so I could see him in his Spiderman costume. He was so proud when I snapped his picture! I Love You Russell! You are a great super-hero! (In more ways than he knows....)
Can you believe it? I didn't even get a picture of Christine. She was a witch complete with green make-up. Brother Shields told her she was a good Elphaba! (from the musical Wicked) She liked that!
