Anniversary

Today is the day my Auntie Dolene got married. She treated us kids like we were her own, especially when we were little. I don't know why I always remember this day. But I do. I was almost 12. I remember the trip to St.George. Caravaning with Auntie Tia and Uncle Bob. We had Mamo and Daddo with us in our car. Staying in the Travelodge Motel on St. George Blvd. in a room on the ground floor right next to the pool. We just looked at it in January! We had adjoining rooms with Mamo and Daddo.

It was a beautiful sunny day in January. A luncheon at one of Uncle Joe's relatives, the Ipsons. We kids were antsy. Then a trip to Glenwood and Richfield for a reception there. Cute little old fashioned motel. I remember all the brown wood in the rooms. BIG snow storm! Cold. I hadn't been in a snow storm before. I remember being afraid of driving on the road out of Richfield. It was snowing so hard. The adults in the car were commenting on it and I was scared. But my daddy was a great driver and we got to the highway safely for the drive home.

Auntie Dolene is gone now, but if she were here she would do something to make this day special. So here's to she and Uncle Joe!

ok twice now we have picked the same background! what does that say??? I think I'm going to steal your "provident living" list--it's awesome and I think more people can benefit from it..........

It is there for anyone to use! I didn't make it up, it came from our stake about 10 years ago, but it's fairly complete and a great way to start for families at all different places in their lives.

And btw--good minds think alike!!

Love Ya!
