What can I say? It's just how it shaped up.
--Darla to the vet for teeth cleaning which involves complete anesthesia. Signed my life away on the paperwork the day before. I get really uncertain about things like this. She is a family member of the furry kind. But cpr? And the price they charge for it! What would you do if your pet coded on the table? Weighing it out....I signed for it under the condition that if she needed it they would call me first and tell me what's going on. They agreed. It's good we know the vet.
--Then my dental cleaning. So you know what that means. The space-out-go-to-sleep pill. Just one. I only take two if I have to have work done. Duff was on transportation duty. My mouth and teeth are doing great!
--Home to rest some of it off, and then to my other Dr. for routine blood pressure check and med review. Ever since I had my gall-bladder out 4 years ago, my bp runs a bit higher. It is genetic. But I still couldn't get behind the wheel, so Christine (with that permit, remember?) was my chauffer! Can you believe that!
--Back home to lay down for a bit more, and then off to the 'Hair Dr.' Time for a cut and weave. My hair is growing really fast these last six months. The heat? vitamins? walking? Who knows, but it's driving me crazy. Even my stylist was like: what happened to your hair? It's grown out soooo much! At least I could drive myself this time.
--Then to the vet to pick up Miss Darla. The front office assistant was checking out another patient, so we had to wait a bit. Then we heard her. Crying. Did she smell us and know we were there? Did she recognize our voices? Probably. The dr. assistant went walking by down the hallway and he was carrying and talking to her. He didn't know we were there yet. They were all in love with her and so they took turns holding and carrying her so she wouldn't cry. She stole their hearts! She does that. They all kept telling us how sweet she is. Yes, we know. You'd have thought she was our child or something. Christine's and my 'buttons' were bursting. When he walked into the front office, we called out her name and her head snapped around and her ears shot up and then she couldn't get to us fast enough. A little drunken still from the anesthesia but as quick as she could.
--Christine is at the beach for the combined activity. Those are always fun. Except I just heard from her on Sarah's phone and she lost her phone somewhere along the sand where the waves come in. Good thing I kept ghetto pink katana in my sock drawer! She's not eligible for a new phone until January 2011. Yeah. Well, no texting for a while.
