Christine slept and slept. I couldn't get her to wake up in the la-z-boy where she was slumbering soundly to go up to bed at midnight when I was going to bed, but sometime during the night she ended upstairs on the futon.
Duff has been working up in the loft on the computer and conference calls all day. I have been getting water to the pines on the west slope and doing a bit of trimming to get the dead stuff out and trunk them up some. The slope is much steeper than I remembered. Maybe I'm getting older??? At any rate, we need to have Kam get the drip system up and functioning.
The wind has just blown and howled all day. But they say tomorrow that all changes for a mild 4th of July weekend. Downtown is all decked out and ready for the holiday. Booths, decorations, food, music, the swiss bells ringing. Ahh. A small town celebrating BIG. Love it.
We went into Heber this afternoon so Duff could overnite some business things. Chris driving. (was there any question about that?), and got our first of the summer Dairy Keen Shakes. I got fresh strawberry and Duff and Chris got fresh raspberry. Oh sweet divine goodness. They are so thick with luscious fruit that you can turn them upside down and nothing even moves.
Darla and I went for an evening walk. It was so pretty. Started my new book on Porter Rockwell. It's good.
