We drove home this year on Mike's birthday.
We caravaned with my parents and made sure they got to Uncle Rodney's house in St. George safely. My dad is feeling much improved, but being that he is 80, we just wanted to be sure we were close by on this leg of the trip. Uncle Rodney and Marci share the same wedding anniversary as my parents, so they were going to celebrate together that evening with some steaks on the grill.
When we got home, Adrianne had Mike's birthday dinner in the oven. He chose Manicotti, which she makes VERY well, and her famous garlic bread. Josh and Meredith were there and it's always nice to come home and be welcomed by the family!
Not the best picture, but the only one I got.
He asked for banana cream pies. That was a change up from his usual: angel food cake or peach cobbler. They were delicious and Adrianne had been busy making those and dinner after she got home from work.
Miss Gidget ripping up the wrapping paper and in Christine's arms.
Why do doggies just worm their way into your heart?
She certainly knows she belongs to her 'parents' and in the extended family. When Josh and Meredith pull in the driveway she knows she's at Gramma's house and runs right in to find us all, tail wagging so hard she can barely walk.
