Putting a lasagne together was easy to do after being gone and being on the road all day yesterday. I got 2 pans done in the morning and in the fridge. Adrianne had dessert this month, and brought an awesome layered yellow cake with homemade chocolate frosting from scratch. Mike will NOT eat chocolate frosting from the can and as the marvelous wifey she is, she happily obliges him. Meredith brought the garlic bread. She used sourdough bread and it was delicious. Duff put a bagged salad together. We ate in the dining room on the blue china.
We enjoyed having Mike, Julie, Aaron and Nick over. Nicky's shyness wore off after a little while and he was all about every kind of ball we had. His little songs just melt your heart.
We had FHE after they left to go back to the beach house in Newport they've rented for the week. Duff turned the time over to Shaun for his lesson on 'Living After The Manner of Happiness'. He has been learning some things about this from the scriptures. It was a good lesson. Natalie and Robert are back for school and he leaves in 2 weeks, so we will be missing them but will keep meeting with everyone else and relish every second of it. Who knows where life will take them in the future, so we need to make the most of what we have now.
