Christmas morning was rainy, cold, and fun. Mike and Adrianne came by at 7:30 and everyone met downstairs for present opening. 
Duff got this tshirt from Mike and Adrianne. It's totally appropriate.
Darla was completely into gift opening. How does she know this every Christmas? She ran from person to person so excited. Then the next gift was for her. She totally knew it was her bag. I tried to get a picture with her head in the bag but I couldn't get it. But here she is very happy with her 'loot'.
The Christmas morning aftermath. Side note: We always plug the tree lights in while we open presents. They didn't work! Only the very first strand on the bottom! We worked and jiggled but to no avail. I tried several times a day and -nope- not working. Duff sat there on the floor, looked at me and said, " It's a sign. Maybe we should get a fake tree next year." This is a huge concession on his part. He is a real Christmas Tree fanatic to the core. We have had more trouble with this tree this year. We got it in the stand and it was crooked. We made sure it was level at the bottom in the stand. But it was still crooked. We finally discovered that the whole trunk bends about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom. How did we not see that when we picked it out? We've tried to balance it to have it at least look straight and each time it lasts for a while and then it moves back to the way it was. We have laughed and laughed over this tree! And now the lights don't work! So we'll see how Duff feels next year at this time!

Adrianne made funeral potatoes to take to the Robertson Christmas dinner and then they headed out. It was a quiet day for the 4 of us. We loved it. Rain kept falling and it was COLD. We were going to go and see Marley and Me, but the day got away from us and we didn't care. We had leftovers that we turned into french dip sandwiches. Umm, umm good.
Missing Natalie and Robert who are in Cancun with Robert's family. I am looking forward to seeing pictures and hearing all their stories.
