CHOCOLATE!!!!!

Every October/November for 24 years now I am up to my eyeballs in CHOCOLATE! My friend, Nancy Shaw from Cypress, and I order Guittard Chocolate in bulk directly from their kitchens in Burlingame, CA. We are able to get great chocolate for great prices. We don't make anything off of this--it is just a service to our neighbors and friends and family.

We place the final order (often around 2500-3000 pounds) and they make the chocolate and ship it to Nancy's house. Then we weigh it out and bag it into 5 lb. bags. It comes in 25 lb. boxes or 50 pound bags depending on what it is.

You can get slabs of the old dutch milk chocolate, dark chocolate, semi-sweet chips, mini chips, milk chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, white chips, green mint chips, pure vanilla chips, dessert chunks, real chocolate sprinkles, cocoa, and dipping chocolate wafers in white, milk, and dark. It is sooooo delicious!!! It freezes well, and I even can the cocoa for my food storage. I figure if I have powdered eggs, milk, and some flour and sugar, I can make a treat using the cocoa--like maybe a brownie, or cake, or pudding.

So today is the cut-off day to get the orders to me. Nancy will send it in tomorrow morning and it will be delivered next Tuesday.

I love seeing how happy everyone is when they come to pick it up at my house! I'm glad my little service will bring families together in the kitchen for bonding moments!

P.S. My house smells like I have a chocolate candle burning or something for about a week. With every breath you inhale wafts of smooth, creamy chocolate! mmmmmmmm............!
