Book Fair and Wedding Dresses

After a busy morning making and returning calls, figuring out Christine's lost paper work for her bus pass (which is now resolved--the district lost all her paper work, sheesh, they've had it since August...), I went to the middle school and worked at the Book Fair. I always enjoy working this. It's fun to see all the kids, help them make choices, talk about books, and visit with the PTA moms.

The HOT seller this year is the Twilight series! I couldn't believe it. We have not been able to keep them on the shelf! Every night we put in a new order for them and yesterday we were told that Scholastic doesn't have ANY more copies! The kids were using their lunch time even to come in and buy these books. Moms came in first thing in the morning to buy the whole set for Christmas gifts for their girls.

I've finished Twilight, and have started New Moon. Guess I better kick it up a notch and read a little faster!

Drum roll, please!!!!! Mike, don't you DARE peek... Here is Adrianne in the favorite gown.
Back of the dress. It is a Casablanca gown. (That is the designer)

The train is stunning. The picture doesn't do it justice. We went to Jaclyn's Bridal in Costa Mesa, by South Coast Plaza. Our appointment was at 5pm. Adrianne's main goal was to try on a variety of dresses to make sure that the dress she picked from a picture looked good on her. Well, she is pretty smart because it sure did! So we took a bunch of pictures to show Patti, who is going to make her gown. It won't be exactly like the pictures above--it will be white instead of cream, sleeves, etc. so Mike even if you do peek at this, just get ready for your heart to beat even faster on February 9th!

After, Adrianne, her mom, Diana, and I went to dinner at Pat and Oscar's for some pasta, salad, and their great breadsticks. The three of us had such a nice time together.

What a good way to end a day! Love you, Adrianne!
