Life Continues As Tobias Quietly Trims

This is an interesting emotion to try and explain. But I want to try and record it. Surreal, maybe. Even in the middle of a crisis-history making-tentative situation, life goes on.
This is Tobias. (tow-BE-us) He's been trimming our trees every October for 10 years. His full time job is working for Disneyland and taking care of their trees, but on his down time he works with Miguel (our gardner) and trims trees for homes. He does a FANTASTIC job. He also usually gets it done before the 'windies' come--meaning the Santa Ana Winds. (That's what the hispanics here call them, cute, huh?) He just missed it this year, but the trimming saves the trees from being ripped apart from the winds. We did not lose one tree this year.

Anyway, I didn't even realize Tobias was here until Darla figured it out. I was still inventoring down stairs and when I looked out my brain had a hard time computing what I was seeing. I'm inside deciding what to take for an evacuation and he is calmly trimming trees!

I guess no matter what, LIFE GOES ON!
