It always takes some time to transition. But it is coming along.
The kids just about have their room settled and their stuff squared away. Adrianne did some awesome planning and they have moved all the essentials from a 2 bedroom apartment into one room! There is not a square inch to spare, but it WORKS!
The first day of freshman finals is over. Christine has taken this very seriously. So the world came to an end when she all of a sudden realized that she made a huge mistake on the essay portion of her accelerated English class. She was sitting on the couch studying for Biology while I was trying to make dinner in 'silence', when she let out a whoop and it hit her: the essay was supposed to be about 3 different characters from 3 different stories and she wrote about 3 characters from the same story! I don't think it will effect her that much--no one even finished the essay portion--but she felt soooooo BAD. She had studied sooooo hard for this class. It's good she has done really well so far.
I'm proud of her though. She allowed herself to have some time to wallow about it and then pulled herself out the other side. That is such a good life skill.
Duff flew back home tonight. He'd been in Utah for Aunt Gloria's funeral and to take care of some things at the cabin. Yay! He's home.
Everyone ended up being here for dinner. Tacos. We seem to like those! It is nice to sit around the table and eat and visit. It always includes some laughing and of course some 'sass'. Where's the meter, Adrianne?
Mere is up to her eyeballs in new classes. Josh is up to his eyeballs in studying for the bar. Shaun is up to his eyeballs with the LSAT. Christine with finals. Mike with classes and putting a new company together. Adrianne with work. Like 3 different jobs right now. Natalie and Rob with a new baby and new classes. Duff of course had to tell us about all his Grandpa fun with John while in Utah. I was jealous. Not covetous-just jealous! Haha! As babies do, he has grown and changed so much in a month.

She needs to learn now not to relive finals or she will be in a world of trouble (especially if she goes to law school). Glad she is taking finals seriously though.
